Termination by you/ Your Right to Cancel:

You may terminate the Contract for the Services (as each defined in our Terms of Business) to us at any time by giving us reasonable (not less than 7 days) written notice. Our fee (or a proportion of it) and disbursements incurred up to the date of notice of termination will still be payable by you for the Services we have provided in accordance with the Contract.

 

If you:

  • wish to terminate the Contract  withing 14 days after the date you agree our Terms of Business or the date on which you continue to give instructions, whichever is earlier ('Cancellation Period'), and

  • are an individual consumer the Contract was concluded either at or following a meeting with you or by a form of distance communication

then you may terminate your instructions in accordance with the Consumer Cooling Off Cancellation  Period – Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (“CCR”). 


You need to provide us with a clear statement.  On receipt of this we will not consider that the Contract has been established and you will be reimbursed all payments received from you by the same method that you used, at no cost to you, without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which notice of cancellation has been received.

 

You can request us to commence work within this period by providing us with a signed and dated form of authorisation, which we can provide.  Whilst you can still have the right to cancel during the Cancellation Period, you can still cancel but you must pay us a proportion of our fee and any disbursements for the Services we have provided in accordance with the Contract.   In such circumstances:

  • Any provision of the Contract that expressly or impliedly n is intended to come into or continue in force on or after termination shall continue in full force and effect. These include record retention, exclusions/limitations of liability, confidentiality, copyright, complaints and data protection.

  • Any rights, remedies, obligations or liabilities of the parties that have accrued up to the date of termination shall not be affected.
